Welcome to the Buffalo Society of Artists

Building on a legacy since 1891, we embrace visual exploration as critical to the voice of our time.

Our Member Directories

One of the oldest continually operating arts organizations in the country, the Buffalo Society of Artists has been promoting and expanding the awareness of Western New York artists, art supporters, and local community partners. Building on that legacy, we embrace visual exploration as critical to the voice of our time.

He is also planning a solo exhibition at Hansa, an upscale office co-op at 510 Ellicott Street in Buffalo, opening and artist talk to be determined. The exhibition will run through early January. This will be followed sometime in January with a three-artist exhibition, with Nancy Mariani and Melinda K. About the BSA

Since 1891, the Buffalo Society of Artists has been embracing visual exploration as critical to the voice of our time. One of the oldest continually operating arts organizations in the country, the Buffalo Society of Artists started in 1891 to promote and expand the awareness of Western New York artists—the same mission we embrace today.

We hold at least three annual exhibitions, and we provide members with lectures, workshops and studio visits throughout the year.
