The search for beauty and simplicity in obscure places and creating order out of chaos are threads that run through all my work. Departing from clean lines and crisp colors, I’ve been experimenting by using my camera as a tool to “paint” the essence of a place. Some photographs are taken from a vehicle at fast speeds or moving the camera by hand using slow shutter speeds. These techniques created the effect of “painterly” photographs.
I am in my element when traveling and completely present in my life when I have my camera in hand.
