As a sculptor, I have explored a variety of mediums including wood, stainless steel, and resins. My current body of work integrates form, color and texture while maintaining enough subtlety to imply the possibility of an additional form or function. Each sculpture consists of resins and pigments over carved mixed media. Color is layered between completely clear overcoats that emphasize the sculpture's physicality and character. Volume, color and shape are meant to interact naturally as the sculpture is turned on a slow RPM motor. The effect of each piece depends on the materials, ambient conditions, and the character of the under-sculpture.
