Patty Wurster is a landscape painter. She documents her connection to land and water spaces with gouache studies, photographs, and videos: ultimately painting those experiences in the studio. She is striving for the viewer to have a conversation with the finished work and bring an element of themselves to it.
Patty Wurster is an exhibiting member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and her paintings have been included in regional, national and international exhibitions. She also brings a background in toy design, education and fine arts to writing and illustrating children's books. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Buffalo Niagara Children's Writers and Illustrators.
Patty Wurster holds an MFA in Painting from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. and a BFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA.
