Stephen Houseknecht was awarded Second Prize in the Made in NY 09 juried exhibition at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center, Auburn NY. Houseknecht has also been included in the Curator’s Choice Exhibition in the Albright Knox Collectors Gallery.

Lila Krehbiel, formerly Lila Mandzyk, will be conducting two Ukranian Easter egg workshops in April, the first on Satuday, April 4 from 9 to noon at the Buffalo Arts Studio, Suite 500, TriMain Building, 5th floor, 2495 Main Street, Buffalo. Register by calling 862-0367. Both require you to bring 3 fresh eggs or 3 uncracked hard boiled eggs to the workshop. Lila’s interest in her Ukranian heritage prompted her to learn this time-honored art.
Rita Argen Auerbach received The Arts Council in Buffalo & Erie County’s Individual Achievers Award at their 23rd Annual Arts Awards Luncheon on Mar. 20. Ten BSA members bought a table to applaud Rita’s achievement.
