Andrea Tasevski

I graduated from SUNY Buffalo State College with a BFA in Art History. While in college I spent a semester studying abroad in Siena, Italy, a town in Tuscany with a rich history in medieval art and architecture.

Throughout high school and college I studied pastel painting with artist George Palmer. Mr. Palmer is a highly respected portrait artist in Western New York and is the official portrait painter of  historic Shea's Theater in Buffalo, NY. I am a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America. I am also an exhibiting member of the Buffalo Society of Artists, the Pastel Society of Western New York, the Fine Arts League of Buffalo and the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society. My award-winning artworks, particularly my pastel paintings, are frequently included in local, national and international art exhibits.

My creative process varies; at times I am inspired by my own reference photos, while I also enjoy working directly from my subject. Seeking to capture beauty, I love experimenting with different pastel brands and color combinations. I am fascinated by the way light plays on surfaces and strive to capture the colors as I see them. I seek to share my artistic vision and am passionate about painting. It brings me joy to share my artwork with you!
