Andrea Tasevski

My creative process varies; at times I work from my own photographic references, while I also enjoy working directly from my subject. Seeking to capture the beauty of a person, place or thing, I love experimenting with different color combinations. Subject matters that interest me differ, but I am invariably intrigued by the way light plays on surfaces.

City of Tonawanda based artist, Andrea Tasevski, has been exhibiting her work in local, national and international shows since 1995. She specializes in portraits painted with pastels and seeks to capture the beauty of her subjects by experimenting with striking color combinations. Andrea is a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists, Fine Arts League of Buffalo, Pastel Society of Western New York, American Women Artists, Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society and associate member of the Pastel Society of America. In 2017 her portrait ‘Renée at Five’ was accepted into the International Association of Pastel Society’s 30th Juried exhibition. She is passionate about painting and derives much joy from sharing that passion with others.
