Joy Fisher Africano

About
Joy Fisher Africano

I'm a Buffalo resident of 40 years. My careers have included mom, homemaker, pianist, church organist, choral conductor, gardener, professional volunteer and middle school science teacher.  I lived in Europe for a year and studied Art History. I was able to travel throughout the country and visited art museums throughout Europe. In my soul has always been a lingering desire to paint. Finally, life has allowed me the time and space to do so. I started taking drawing and painting lessons 8 years ago and have studied with numerous professional artists from the US and Australia. I cannot imagine my life without painting and paint every day. My subject matter is almost always flowers because they are such beautiful gifts from the Source of Love.
