About Mary E. Begley
Begley was born in Buffalo but raised in Saratoga, New York, she returned to her birth place to acquire her BFA from Buffalo State College and then her MFA from The University of Buffalo. Her work has appeared in Buffalo at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, Big Orbit, Art Dialogue, and Hallwalls Gallery. Her work has exhibited across New York State at such galleries as Deep Space Gallery in New York City, the Vanderbilt Museum at Centerport, New York, Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn NY and Main Street Arts, Clifton Springs NY.
In addition to her career as an artist Begley was the Label Manager at Righteous Babe Records, a label started by Buffalo native Ani DiFranco. She has since left the music business to pursue her art career. She continues to live and work in Buffalo.
