Nancy Cerny

Nancy grew up in Wisconsin, but moved to East Aurora where she and Frank raised 3 sons. Before becoming a full-time artist, she worked as a Registered Nurse. After completing a BA and MS in art education at SUC at Buffalo, she substituted and privately taught art classes. She has been actively involved in the Buffalo Society of Artists, serving on the board for the last four years. She is also involved with the East Aurora Art Society as past President and Co-Chair of the E. Aurora Outdoor Fine Art Exhibit. She has been painting for 20 years, mostly with oils, as well as watercolors. Many of the art pieces are started outdoors, on site and then finished in her studio in East Aurora. She concentrates in landscapes, florals, and still lifes. Her artwork is in private collections, as well as represented at the Collectors Gallery, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York; Meibohm Fine Arts Gallery in E. Aurora; Art Dialog Gallery, Buffalo, New York; and the Artpark Gallery for the Buffalo Society of Artists in Lewiston, New York. She is presently on the Board of the Buffalo Society of Artists and as served as president of the East Aurora Art Society.
