Vicki Warhol

I paint a variety of subjects. My favorites are botanicals. An agave, a flower viewed up close so the viewer is not quite sure what it is. I admire abstract artists and my work is my version of an uptight abstract. I work in several mediums but my favorite is oil. I feel like I am almost sculpting the paint. I use large canvases which give me more of a physical experience. I am conquering a large canvas which in the beginning is daunting. After feeling a physical, sculpting experience with the canvas there comes that moment when I know I have won, I have done it, I have completed what I knew I had to do.
