BSA members Jennifer Koury and Carol Case Siracuse will be two of the four artists featured in Luminance - Group Watercolor Exhibition at Meihbohm Fine Arts.
Luminance -Group Watercolor Exhibit
Friday, April 29, 2022 - Saturday, May 28, 2022
Luminance at Meibohm Fine Arts is an opportunity to examine the natural world as it emerges from the dormancy of winter through the eyes of four distinct watercolor artists. The selected artists, Thea Duskin, Kateri Ewing, Jennifer Koury and Carol Siracuse each approach the watercolor medium and the subject matter in a unique and effective way, unified by their desire to display the ever-changing intricacies of our environment.
Thea Duskin is an internationally recognized tattoo master and mixed media artist with recurring motifs drawn from the natural world that are interpreted in a loose, painterly manner. Kateri Ewing aspires to portray each plant or creature in a way that reveals its uniqueness, right down to the beautiful venations and moldy spots on a leaf - an invitation to take pause and to look a bit more closely. Jennifer Koury’s art reveals her passion for the effect and affect of the natural world, including the movement of wind, water, shadows, reflected light, and the emotions that they create. Carol Siracuse believes “art is a reflection of ourselves and how we see life… giving form to my visions and my passions.”
The exhibition will be on view Friday, April 29, 2022 through Saturday, May 28, 2022. Preview the exhibition on our website meibohmfinearts.com.
