Frani Evedon has achieved amazing results by transforming images, sometimes x-rays, into wonderful plays on color and light. Her exhibit, Breathing Room, at Betty's Restaurant will showcase some of those images including 'Terra Silica #1' which was created using a microscope attached by Wifi to a cell phone.
" It's amazing how unusual structure and color can be achieved with this inexpensive device....This exhibition is called Breathing Room so that we may breathe in, if just for a moment, color and form that, if you allow it, might transport you to a quieter place. If just for a moment, you let these images carry you to a place where stress and sadness do not exist, then maybe your own journey will be lightened."
Some of Evedon's other works were created with film, then scanned and printed.
Evedon's work has appeared in dozens of juried photography exhibitions in western New York and California. She is the past chair of the Art Department at Orchard Park Schools.
