A collage created by Gerald Mead was included in “Postcards from the Edge 2023” at the Berry Campbell Gallery, West 26th Street, New York. Postcards from the Edge was on view January 19-21. Mead served as the consulting curator for the exhibition “Frank C. Work by BSA Exhibiting Artist Catherine Shuman Miller is included in the exhibit entitled “Artist Proof: Print Process at Oehme Graphics,” on view from January 18 – March 24, 2024 at the Arvada Center in Denver, Colorado. Founded by Susan Hover Oehme in 2010, Oehme Graphics is a fine print publisher that collaborates with internationally recognized artists in a state-of-the-art printmaking facility. Gerald Mead has a 30-year survey of his work on view in the Norine Spurling Memorial Gallery at Canterbury Woods (Williamsville) through November 14 and his work will be included in the exhibition “Five Years of Mirabo Press” at Mirabo Press (Buffalo) from November 16 to December 31. He juried the “77th Regional Exhibition” (Arnot Art Museum, Elmira, NY), was appointed to the Roswell Park Art Committee, and was invited to serve as the Honorary Advisory Board Chair of the West Seneca School District Academy of Visual Arts. George Grace Wins Award, Plans Exhibitions

George Grace’s Post Industrial work of the former Coke Ovens of Bethlehem Steel, Up the Conveyor Line, acrylic on canvas (above), was awarded second place in the Fine Arts League Fall Exhibition at the Carnegie Arts Center, judged by Ted Pietrczk. He is also planning a solo exhibition at Hansa, an upscale office co-op at 510 Ellicott Street in Buffalo, opening and artist talk to be determined. The exhibition will run through early January. This will be followed sometime in January with a three-artist exhibition, with Nancy Mariani and Melinda K. Schneider at the Fox Run retirement community gathering/administrative building in Orchard Park–again, opening and artist talks to be announced.

Four different large scale wall murals of photographs by Dennis Stierer have been permanently installed in the newly opened Catholic Health Lockport Hospital. Each of the murals are around 9 feet high and 15 feet long. The above image is in the MRI room. Others are in the CT Scan room, and two others in the Office area.
