Gary L. Wolfe's 'Dimensional Transitions,' an exhibition exploring the dichotomies reflected in art and life experiences will be on view at the Carnegie Art Center from Thursday, September 17 to October 31, 2009. The opening reception is Thursday, September 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Gary L. Wolfe's work addresses the fundamental vulnerability of the contemporary human condition, often combining his skill as a painter with other media (collage, assemblage, fine woodworking, stained glass and video) to create, multi-dimensional objects that transition between actual and perceived presence of the work's subject and objects. Wolfe describes his work as "a search for synthesis."
Gary L. Wolfe has shown in the United States and Canada, including locally at Hallwalls, Kenan Center, Big Orbit Gallery and through the Buffalo Society of Artists. He earned an MA in Humanities: Studio Art & Art History from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
