ARTFUL GIFTS Call for Work 2021
Original artwork will only be considered.

Artful Gifts is intended to offer small works for the purpose of gift giving or for individuals
looking to add to their own collection. All works must be for sale.
Selection process: Works will be viewed on a first come basis by the gallery director on delivery
day (see calendar) and selections will be made on the spot, so there may be a short waiting period
depending upon the response to this call for work. Not all works will be hung immediately. Works
may be taken by the purchaser at the time of purchase and will be replaced by back-up works that
were not originally hung on the wall.
The installation will consist of small works with a maximum size of 14” x 18” (or 32 united
inches) frame size. Three-dimensional works (such as sculpture or pottery) must be able to fit into a
14” x 14” x 14” box. There is no date, theme or medium requirement. Artists may submit up to 4
framed works (no more) for this installation.
In addition to framed works, artists may submit unframed, unmated works that will be put
into sleeves and then into a display rack or bin. There is no date, theme or medium requirement.
Artists may submit up to 6 works. Maximum size 14” x 18”
Unframed works should be priced $150.00 or less.
Form Instructions: Forms will be provided at the drop-off.
Entry Fee: There is no entry fee for members of the Western New York Artists Group. There is a
$15.00 entry fee for individuals who are not members. Individuals who wish to become members
may do so at the time of drop off and the entry fee will be waived.
Pick up of Works: Works may be picked up on the assigned pick up day (January 5) ONLY.
Please notify the gallery as soon as possible if you have a conflict. Please notify us if someone will
be picking up your work for you. Your courier must be able to provide picture ID for your
protection. Works left without prior permission will be subject to a $1.00 per day per work storage
fee. No exceptions. Fees will be charged for days that the gallery is closed.
Calendar
Saturday, November 13, 2021 – Deliver all artworks from 11am to 1pm
Saturday, November 20, 2021 – Reception Open House from noon to 3pm.
Saturday, December 30, 2021 – Exhibition ends at 3pm.
Wednesday, January 5, 2022 – Pick-up of unsold works from 11am to 4pm.

Gift Shop Call for Work

Jewelry, cards, ornaments and craft items: Items for the gift shop will not be viewed on drop
off day for Artful Gifts. Please call the Eileen at 716-886-1902 to make an appointment for the gift
shop.
An important opportunity for artists and craftspeople is available through our gift shop. We
are looking to stock a wide range of items to supplement sales for you, sales that also helps to
cover gallery expenses. There are no submission fees unless your item sells.
We are looking to add more hand crafted items this year. We are looking for clay and glass
works, jewelry, cards, etc. Authors may also bring in books for consignment.
