The BSA members and guests who attended the Wines & WWII fundraising event at home of Paula Sciuk and her husband Ken Sciog on Friday, June 12 enjoyed an evening of beautiful weather, a creative pairing of wine with an array of imaginative hors d’oeuvres, and an exciting and informative discussion and display of World War II aircraft, all of which sparked great conversation and good fellowship.

To enhance the taste of both wine and food, the extensive selection of wines from Italy, France and Oregon were paired with Italian piave cheese, French brie, prosciutto, Mediterranean and French olives and goat cheese, served with French baguettes, and a cornucopia of familiar and exotic fruits including grapes, dates, currents, Asian pears, blackberries, apricots, strawberries, cherries, kumquats, persimmons and mission figs.

Guests sipped wine and nibbled almonds and chocolate and cleansed their collective palates with lemon sorbet. Thanks, Paula and Ken from the entire BSA membership for hosting this fun fundraising event.
