Gary Wolfe invites you to
Out of Darkness

An Exhibition of Portraits

Nov 1 through Dec 31, 2013
Artspace Buffalo Gallery, 1219 Main St., Buffalo
Reception: November 1 from 6 PM to 10 PM.

A collaborative project between the Lt. Col. Matt Urban Human Service Center’s homeless services department (Hope Center) and artist, Gary L. Wolfe. The goal of this project is to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless in the City of Buffalo through portraits painted in a technique that captures not only the vulnerability and social alienation experienced by these individuals but also their human dignity and the hope that they cling to.

The original paintings will be for sale with 30% of all proceeds going back to the Hope Center toward the Hope Gardens, a 20 unit residency for chronically homeless women that is to be constructed on Oberlin St. on the East Side of Buffalo.
