Those familiar with local expressionist artist and BSA member, Edward G. Bisone, may also know just how prolific he is. To preserve a record of his work, and with his permission, I’ve undertaken a project to capture, photographically, as many of Eddie’s paintings and drawings as possible. The end result will be a documented catalog of his work that will be offered, in accordance with Eddie’s wishes, to the Burchfield Penney Art Center. A limited edition book of Eddie’s art is also planned. If you own work by Mr. Bisone, and would be willing to allow me to photograph it (framed or unframed) for inclusion in the catalog, and possibly in the book, please let me know. As a highly trained guide and ambassador for the museum, you will learn how to lead tours with children, students, corporate groups and social clubs. The goal of this project is to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless in the City of Buffalo through portraits painted in a technique that captures not only the vulnerability and social alienation experienced by these individuals but also their human dignity and the hope that they cling to. Description: The City University Construction Fund is seeking an Artist to design and install a site-specific outdoor art installation as part of the new Performing Arts Center project at Brooklyn College. The purpose of this project is to create dynamic and exciting artwork which complements and enhances the new surrounding landscape immediately adjacent to the new Performing Arts Center building. Brooklyn College is one of the City University of New York’s eleven senior colleges. The Performing Arts Center will create a new home for the Music and Theater Departments, and will consist of Performance Spaces, Practice Rooms, performance support spaces, and new site work & landscaping.
