Rochester Contemporary Art Center’s (RoCo), international small art phenomenon returns for the 8th year!

Help us once again to build an incredible exhibition of thousands of artworks made and donated by celebrities, international & local artists, designers, college students, youths, and YOU. Each artwork must be 6×6 square inches (15cm) or mounted to a 6×6 board, signed only on the back, and exhibited anonymously.

All entries will be accepted; exhibited in the gallery & online, and offered for sale to the public for $20 each (in the gallery and online for global purchasing) to benefit RoCo. Artist names will be revealed to the buyer upon purchase and all artworks remain on display through July 12, 2015. Sold Out artists’ names will be revealed next to their work online on July 3.

Artists may enter up to 4 artworks of any medium (2D or 3D) and there is no fee to enter. Limit 4 artworks per elementary, middle, or highschool.

The following received awards in the current Thumb Box Exhibition: Joyce Hill’s work received the “Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff” Award for “Rio” Other Award Recipients: Sean Witucki received The Partners in Art: “Excellence in Realism” Award for “Cut Pasture” Jan Agati Abarno was awarded the Pencil in the River Award. BSA Gallery at Artpark Opens May 31

The Buffalo Society of Artists Gallery at Artpark will be open Tuesday-Friday, 1-4pm, May 31 through Labor Day. Forty-five exhibiting artists from the Buffalo Society of Artists have over 100 beautiful works of art in the gallery. The Gallery will also be open for selected weekend, mainstage and amphitheater events. On Sunday, June 12 from 12-2, there will be a reception for the artists and to announce the winner of the Edges II sculpture competition. The sculptures will be in the park all summer for viewing.

New Members Meeting

All BSA members are invited to the New Members’ Reception which will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the West Side Rowing Club at the foot of Porter Avenue in Buffalo from 4-7 PM. You will be able to meet old and new members as well as view the work of newly juried Exhibiting Members.
