Bring yourself up to date as your Officers and Board of Directors report on all areas of BSA involvement. This is a time to ask questions, voice comments and renew acquaintances. As a special treat, you will be given the very first viewing of an unedited portion of one of BSA’s interviews with a WNY artist. As you all know, this is the Video Archive Project that BSA created in collaboration with the Burchfield Penney Art Center. It is now in full swing and we would like to give you a glimpse of the direction we are moving.
The following received awards in the current Thumb Box Exhibition: Joyce Hill’s work received the “Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff” Award for “Rio” Other Award Recipients: Sean Witucki received The Partners in Art: “Excellence in Realism” Award for “Cut Pasture” Jan Agati Abarno was awarded the Pencil in the River Award. A Special Award was presented by Meibohm Fine Arts! Adele Becker and Jeanne Beck were given the honor of a Joint Exhibition at Meibohm Fine Arts! Congratulations to the artists who were honor for their beautiful works. The Thumb Box Exhibition can be seen through July 29, 2016.
Buffalo Society of Artists Gallery at Artpark is proud to host the ‘Pre-concert Talk’ by Mattthew Kraemer, Associate conductor of the Buffalo Philharmonic. July 21@ 6:15pm in the gallery at Artpark. The 7pm program is entitled “The Best of Italian Opera,” and will include works by Puccini, Verdi and Mascagni.
