Deborah Hill’s ‘Losing the Mamba’ has won the Best Impressionism Category by the National Acrylic & Oil Painters’ Society. The contest was for the Best of America Small Works 2021.

Her work was featured at the Principle Gallery in Charleston SC.

Susan Explains I have good news to share with our membership that started with the BSA website artist listings! I was contacted in April by a young woman inquiring for her dad about a very special commission. Her dad’s dream was to have a landscape painting done as an “heirloom” artwork. It was a very special landscape depicting the village he was born in and the home of his ancestors, Futani, Italy. The young lady informed me that she had been searching for an artist willing to take on commission for a large (30″x48″) painting for quite some time when she was referred to the Buffalo Society of Artist’s website. Dennis Stierer’s photograph, Good Hope Picnic Grounds from his project ByPassed America, was chosen for the exhibit Forgotten. The exhibit was juried by Paula Tognarelli at the SE CENTER for Photography, 116 East Broad St. in Greenville, SC. The exhibit will hang in the main gallery from 9/1 – 9/30/2023.
