Patricia Sciandra will host the opening of her solo show, “Life and Still Life” on August 1,2009 at the Market Street Art Center, 247 Market Street, Lockport, NY. The reception will be from 5 pm to 8 pm. The gallery is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm and the show runs through the month of August.
BSA’s 122nd Anuual Catalogue Exhibition opened at Artist Group Gallery, One Linwood Avenue, Buffalo on October 5th. Of the 157 submissions, 57 works were selected by juror Martin Kruck. Kruck wrote, “Most of these showcase exhiberant, vivid qualities with a sense of movement or material handling that borders on energized. Otheres are still, contemplative, and a little arresting, like a layer of everyday seeing has been replaced with something new. And then there are those so odd, quirky, or humorous they have to be given some light. Kathleen Dworak had a painting, “Pit Stop”, accepted into the Watercolor Missouri National Show at the Winston Churchill Memorial Anson Cutts Gallery in Fulton, Missouri. The show runs from April 1st to May 18th.
