Nancy Mariani pastel called “Holding the Sheets” and a brief write up about it was accepted by North Light Books for their 9th Edition of Strokes of Genius 9. The edition is called “Creative Discoveries” it will be out on October 17, 2017.
BSA Exhibiting Member William McCullagh won the “Best in Show” award for an acrylic piece entitled “FDNY Engine 42, Tim’s Truck” at the Williamsville Art Society Holiday Show. Awards were presented at a reception held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Amherst Center for Senior Services. Judge Donald Siuta chose work in four categories, acrylic, oil, watercolor, and other; as well as the “Judge’s Award” and “Best in Show”.
Eileen Graetz has had two of her photographs accepted in the Kenan Center’s “A Walk in the Garden Exhibit 2011” opening July 8th. See one of the photos below:
The “Hand to Hand” quilt was selected by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the cover of their report to Congress.
The sale of Doreen Cutting’s”The Steinbrenner” at the November Burchfield Penney opening gala live auction fundraiser at Kleinhans’ Mary Seaton Room fetched the second highest auction price at that auction. Doreen had special recognition by The Arts Council in Buffalo & Erie County for her many years’ participation in the Allentown Art Festival.
