BSA Studio Visits are Back!
The first summer BSA Open Studio visit after our required COVID break was held at Sally Treanor’s home studio on Saturday, June 3rd. Sally provided an overview of the build-out of the space from unheated/uncooled attic to a modern, up-to-date, purpose-built work space. Visitors saw slide-in painting storage and shelving for acid-free boxes and teaching materials. A flat file provides a framing station. The area is super-insulated with a Mitsubishi unit providing heating and cooling. Finally, color corrected, full-spectrum lighting was chosen over skylights and the whole space was rewired. Sally gave two demonstrations illustrating some of the special joys of watercolor. The first was a mini video (4.5 minutes) demo of surf and rocks.
