George Grace will be releasing his fourth collection of poetry, A Hastening Countdown from Infinity in late April. This year, his book, Steeling America: A Poetic Memoir of Lackawanna’s Bethlehem Steel Plant became a semi-finalist in the Winning Writers international competition for poetic memoirs (out of almost 3000 entries). Sales of this book have been steady from the Steel Plant Museum in South Buffalo, which also has about a dozen of his artworks in its collection.
He also won the Best of Show for his pastel, “Watching the Sunrise” (above) in the Fine Arts League’s Spring Exhibition at the Kenan Art Center in March, his second of three in the past year.
He is currently engaged in a project to put four of his previously-stage plays into a collection for publication, most likely before July of this year.
