TheExhibition was held at the National Arts Club Grand Gallery, New York, New York,from September 8th through September 27th. Kathleen’s pastel painting “Autumn Journey #4” was accepted into the ConnecticutPastel Society’s 16th Annual National Exhibition, “Renaissance in Pastels”. andreceived the Pastel Society of America Award. The Exhibition was held at theMattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Connecticut from October 2nd through October 25th.
Sally Trainor Watercolor Demo with the NFWS
Thursday, January 17th at 7 pm at the Amherst Community Church on Washington Hwy in Snyder. The featured artist of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society’s first meeting of the year is Sally Treanor, aquarelist and watercolor instructor from Buffalo and new member of the Buffalo Society of Artists. Treanor employs traditional watercolor techniques using no opaque white or black pigments. Her paintings are open-ended, developed directly from natural materials and artifacts, juxtaposing calligraphic strokes with sweeping washes and soft edges. She believes that each painting communicates a personal encounter with her environment. Treanor has a passion for teaching, taking great joy in the progress of her students.
