Barbara Murak’s Green Ripple was included in Small Matter 2022, 2nd biannual National Juried Exhibition, Colorado Mesa University, 437Co Art Gallery, Grand Junction, Colorado. On view until January 26, 2023. This sculpture was also awarded the Silver Medal Award, BSA 119th Catalog Show at the Buffalo Center for Arts & Technology. Crimson Column was included in the National Small Works Exhibit: Teeny, Tiny, BOLD, Rountree Gallery, Platteville, WI Exhibit runs through February 4, 2023.
Andy Russell is having a show at the MARKET STREET ART CENTER located at 274 Market St., Lockport, NY 14094. It will be in the downstairs gallery from FEB. 5th to MARCH 15th, 2011. The show is called “EXTENDED REALISM”. There will be a reception on SAT., FEB 5th, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Gerald Mead presented a lecture “A Passion for Collecting Art” at the Garret Club in Buffalo on February 9 (coordinated by Catherine Tillou) and at Canterbury Woods Gates Circle on March 8. He also juried the entries for the upcoming American Craftsman Artisan Festival at the Kenan Center and judged the West Seneca School District Annual Student Exhibition.
Accordian Solo, Mary Wyrick, acrylic First Place Heart Field, Brenda Molloy, digital fractals, Honorable Mention BSA member Mary Wyrick was awarded First Place – a solo show – at the Carnegie Art Center Member Show for her acrylic painting Accordian Solo. Brenda Molloy was awarded Honorable Mention for her digital fractal piece, Heart Field. The works were judged by artist Bruce Adams. Of Mary Wyrick’s work, Adams said, “Plenty of wit here, along with keen commentary on society. Art as a reflection on everyday life, looking backward to the not too distant past to reveal truths about who we are today.
