Thursday, January 17th at 7 pm at the Amherst Community Church on Washington Hwy in Snyder.

The featured artist of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society’s first meeting of the year is Sally Treanor, aquarelist and watercolor instructor from Buffalo and new member of the Buffalo Society of Artists.

Treanor employs traditional watercolor techniques using no opaque white or black pigments. Her paintings are open-ended, developed directly from natural materials and artifacts, juxtaposing calligraphic strokes with sweeping washes and soft edges. She believes that each painting communicates a personal encounter with her environment.

Treanor has a passion for teaching, taking great joy in the progress of her students. See her work at www.watercolorful.com.

Visitors are invited to hear about watercolor classes and upcoming events, watch the demo, and enjoy refreshments with a group of enthusiastic fellow artists and art lovers.
