Sara Baker Michalek is to be congratulated for being one of 101 collagists from 21 countries worldwide selected for the exhibition ‘Corporeal Gestures,’ at Portland State University’s School of Architecture. The exhibit which runs from April 4 – 29, 2022 was conceived and curated by Clive Knights, professor of Architecture at the University.
The exhibition theme involves the human body’s limitations as muses. Sara’s collage, ‘Just Forget About It…Nothing Endless Lasts’ considers Aging. “While physical prowess, reasoning and memory may soften, I suggest that the freedoms and abilities to be and express extend beyond the conventions imposed on those younger”
Selected works will be enlarged onto 24″x 24″ panels. A print-on-demand catalogue of the show will be available as well.
