First and foremost, a heartfelt congratulations to the top three award winners in our Spring Show at Project308 Gallery, in order, first to third: Joan Shaw, Michele Agosto, and Norma Joy. Likewise, I applaud those who didn’t win, but who were accepted into the exhibition, and my condolences to those who were not. I say that, of course, tongue-in-cheek, because yours truly fell into that latter category. Such is life. Somehow, the exhibition managed to be very good despite the absence of my artwork. September, 2011 BSA Newsletter (PDF) There is never a dull moment on the Buffalo Society of Artist’s frontline. We, the board, are still marching to the beat of 120 years of history in the making. September marks our “Eye Candy” Fundraiser, a first for BSA, which takes place on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Vern Stein’s Art Gallery in Williamsville. We are expecting a crowd and have about 85 artworks to display in a very impressive lineup. I have seen them all and there are many very beautiful small gems that will be placed for auction. The year moves forward in its usual quick pace and, true to form, the BSA moves right along with it! BSA began 2018 with an exhibition which included new educational events. The Board, the Transition team, Education and Exhibitions Committees are developing several plans for this year so that we can gather with our friends and share our visions and ideas. Events and their dates, times, and venues will be listed on the website, in the newsletter and through e-flashes.
