Doesn’t it seem that summer just began? As summer slips into fall, BSA is growing into its non-profit organization status. Many changes already have been implemented, while others are being planned and modified to adjust to this new position. Not only has the BSA Transition Team been actively working hard to bring us to this new level as an organization, many activities have been planned to provide our members with exciting new opportunities. The Buffalo Society of Artists has begun a new era. At the Spring Members meeting on Thursday May 25th Beth Pedersen formally announced that we are now officially a Not For Profit or Public Charity. To this end, we will be continuing our efforts to collaborate with other…
Creative Transformation is Vital by Gary L. Wolfe
I was in conversation with a longtime BSA member the other day, someone who had been active on the Board and in many other BSA activities. As we continued to talk, this member had envisioned the BSA as an organization that would offer the kind of programming, professional development and public exposure that would provide access to the tools and a network of artists to assist in moving forward in personal artistic endeavors. It seemed that this was why this person had become a member and that…
