Tara Sasiadek has been selected to create a mural at 1702 Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls. This was an extremely competitive selection process that saw dozens of proposals from talented and experienced artists from across Western New York. Tara’s work was chosen by a panel of our region’s leaders in visual arts and public art initiatives. Tara is an artist, philosopher, and entrepreneur who lives and works in Buffalo. Her current body of work is the series of paintings “The Bandaged Place,” a meditation on the healing complexities of scar tissue. Frani Evedon in Joshua Tree National Park Art Exhibtion
Shawn’s Tree was accepted into the Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition 2016 in California. Forty-nine artists were selected for the show, out of 92 artists and 236 artwork images juried by the selection committee on July 29. The show will run from September 2 – October 2.

VICTOR SHANCHUK, CHEMICAL LIGHT On View Friday, April 12–Sunday, July 28, 2019 BSA member Victor Shanchuck, Jr. brings a deep commitment to experimentation and production and connects This exhibition includes several works that haven’t been exhibited, including liquid-like observational figure drawings from the 1970s that were made using various photographic chemicals in place of traditional drawing materials. Also included are his Polarization slide-projector installations from the 1980s and 1990s that contain hand-made slides of collaged and manipulated plastic sheeting sandwiched between transparent polarizing material. Bursting with abstract form and color, the Polarizations are perhaps his most original and significant moment as an artist.
