September 17, 2009 – October 31, 2009 Gary L. Wolfe’s ‘Dimensional Transitions,’ an exhibition exploring the dichotomies reflected in art and life experiences will be on view at the Carnegie Art Center from Thursday, September 17 to October 31, 2009. The opening reception is Thursday, September 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Gary L. Wolfe’s work addresses the fundamental vulnerability of the contemporary human condition, often combining his skill as a painter with other media (collage, assemblage, fine woodworking, stained glass and video) to create, multi-dimensional objects that transition between actual and perceived presence of the work’s subject and objects. Two of Frani Evedon’s infrared photographic works were included in Dis/harmony, a curated international photography exhibition at PH21 Photographic Gallery in Budapest, Hungary. The exhibition ran from December 15, 2022 – January 7, 2023.
Heather Lynn Harris Creates 6 Picture Books for Toy Company
Heather Lynn Harris, artist, author and illustrator, was selected by the toy company PlayMonster to illustrate a series of 6 picture books that translate the characters and world of their newest toy line into books. The books, for children ages 1-5, are combined with a toy — a glow-in-the-dark bug — that focuses on teaching social and emotional lessons. The first 3 books launched Nov. 1 and are sold online at Amazon. The remaining 3 books will launch spring 2023.
