A panel of poets and artists reflecting on visual art and verbal expression in art, poetry and prose and more performances of poetry inspired by Galley works. The panel will include Bob Giannetti, Helen Rogers Russell, George Grace, Michael Basinski and E. R. Baxter. George Grace will read his poems on work of Priscilla Bowen, Adele Becker and Kathleen Dworak. Bob Giannetti will read poems on the work of Lorna Berlin and Joan Hambleton. Michelle Kratts, poet and Lewiston Public Library Librarian, will read her poem on work of Rose Popper. Pianist Claudia Andres will perform piano works from the late Romantic and Impressionistic period.

Joseph Whalen – Exhibition
Opening Reception: Sunday, January 10, 2010, 2:00 — 5:00 pm at the Kenan Center. A solo exhibit of paintings by Lockport’s Joseph Whalen will take place at the Kenan Center House Gallery, January 10 through February 21. The show will open with a free public reception, Sunday, January 10 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The gallery is open Monday-Friday, noon to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays, 2:00-5:00 p.m. The gallery will be closed January 18. NYSCA names Regrants Administrator
The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakesto Administer Regrants for NYSCA Electronic Media and Film The New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency, has announced that The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS) is the new administrator of two state-wide regrant programs for NYSCA Electronic Media and Film (EMF). The two programs, Presentation Funds and Finishing Funds, were previously administered by the Experimental Television Center (ETC) in Owego, NY. Another previous ETC program, the Media Arts Technical Assistance Fund, is now being managed by free103point9 Transmission Arts, in Acra, NY.
