The COMMA Fine Art Gallery will open to the public this summer in the location currently occupied by MUSEjar Art Supply at 17 Elm Street, East Aurora.
The gallery will be co-curated and operated by BSA member Christina Paul with Tami Fuller and Liz Birardi Its mission is to support local and regional artists by providing quality exhibition space and professional support. The COMMA encourages people to pause, to look, to engage with art and to create a space for a larger conversation. The gallery will offer solo and group thematic exhibitions, informal artists talks and salon-type gatherings for dialogue and arts of all disciplines. Showcasing the area’s many talented artists benefits them as well as the greater community.
Tami Fuller’s Blubird Studio will occupy the rear of the building. The MUSEjar store will move to its new location at 71 Church Street.
The COMMA Fine Art Gallery will host its first exhibition of work by artist Ted Wetherbee, entitled “As I See It,” with an opening reception on Friday, July 28.
