Edward G. Bisone – Catalog
Those familiar with local expressionist artist and BSA member, Edward G. Bisone, may also know just how prolific he is. To preserve a record of his work, and with his permission, I’ve undertaken a project to capture, photographically, as many of Eddie’s paintings and drawings as possible. The end result will be a documented catalog of his work that will be offered, in accordance with Eddie’s wishes, to the Burchfield Penney Art Center. A limited edition book of Eddie’s art is also planned. If you own work by Mr. Bisone, and would be willing to allow me to photograph it (framed or unframed) for inclusion in the catalog, and possibly in the book, please let me know. NYFA’s online application is now open!
Artists’ Fellowships are $7,000 unrestricted cash awards made to individual originating artists living and working in the state of New York. Grants are awarded in 15 artistic disciplines, with applications accepted in five categories each year. Since the awards began in 1985, NYFA has awarded over $22 million to over 3,788 artists. Peer review panels select up to 100 Fellows each year based on artistic vision, the goal being to buy recipients creative time to continue making work.
