BSA artist Edreys Wajed unveiled a mural of the late Congressman John Lewis on Buffalo’s East Side.

The ceremony marked one year since the passing of the beloved congressman and civil rights leader.

Wajed hopes the artwork sends a message of hope and duty to the community.

Congressman Brian Higgins remarked that Lewis discovered his purpose at just 11-years-old when he moved to Buffalo and saw Black and white people working together.
