Mike Killelea will have a solo exhibition at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens from March 23 through May 8.
‘Near and Far is about discovering the extraordinary in the ordinary, everywhere!
Killelea’s work is a festival of plein air watercolors. His visual impressions have been collected from the backyard gardens and rolling landscapes of western New York, through our purple mountain majesties and even to lands beyond the farthest horizon.

Brenda Molloy was awarded Honorable Mention for her digital fractal piece, Heart Field. The works were judged by artist Bruce Adams. Barbara Hart contributed her painting, Wallflower, to the Burchfield Penny’s annual gala fundraising auction scheduled for the evening of June 17. Auction works were on view in the BP’s main gallery from June 7 to 17. On May 6, Barbara participated in the Raft of Sanity’s activity “Drawing with Felice Koenig” in conjunction Koenig’s solo exhibit “Enough Love for Everyone” which runs through June 24 at the Raft.
Susan Copley is now represented by the “State of the Arts Gallery”, in Sarasota Florida. Her paintings are included in the exhibition currently on view there.
Lawrence Kinney Commissioned to Produce Two Public SculpturesCONTACT: Lawrence Kinney at 833-6260 Lawrence Kinney designed and fabricated two public sculptures this summer for each of two venues. The first sculpture, funded by a grant from the KaBOOM! Play Everywhere Challenge supported by the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation, was recently unveiled at the BRRAlliance Community Garden, at the corner of Farmer and Guernsey streets in Black Rock. The life-size, grinning pig sculpture reflects a portion of the history of the Black Rock neighborhood, where a livestock path leading from the village to nearby farmlands once stood.
