Marc Duquette’s oil painting, “Letting Go”, was recently accepted to the exhibition Quest for the Modern Figure in Chicago.
Fewer than 50 works were chosen by several jurors out of hundreds of entries. All of the work was completed this year.
The show physically featuring much of the artwork runs from November 5- December 31, 2021 at the 33 Contemporary Gallery. Marc’s work will be included in the online exhibition on the artsy page with link below.

Norine Spurling has three miniature watercolor paintings accepted into the Miniature Art Exhibit, Ridge Art Association, Winter Haven, FL. The exhibit runs April 14 through May 18. 2011.

Kathleen McDonnell has been honored with the prestigious Ruth Richeson Pastel Gold Award. The work is highlighted in an article about Kathy in the special issue: the 17th Annual Pastel 100 Competition Winners (Pastel Journal). She is a signature member of the PSA (Pastel Society of America), The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod & Pastel Society of the West Coast. Joe Whalen is showing a collection of 50 water colors and acrylics at the Roz Steiner Art Gallery at SUNY Genesee Community College from November 10- January 6. “From landscapes to pool halls, Whalen creates visual narratives in a style that recalls early 20th century realism.” A gallery reception will be held November 17th at 1:00 pm. The gallery is located at One College Road, Batavia, NY ( see Roz Steiner Gallery).
