Andrea Tasevski’s pastel painting ‘Renée at Ten’ received an Honorable Mention in the Adirondack Pastel Society’s 6th annual national exhibition and her pastel painting ‘Renée at Five’ won the Terry Ludwig Award in the Central Mass Pastel Society’s ‘Marks of Distinction’ exhibition.

Mary Wyrick Opens at The Carnegie
Mary Wyrick will be showing recent paintings in the East Gallery at the Carnegie Art Center on 240 Goundry in North Tonawanda, NY., April 4 – April 26. The exhibit was the first place award at the 2018 Member’s Show for Accordion Solo, acrylic on canvas. Wyrick’s paintings are based on old photographs of beauty pageants, picnics, and parades. An opening reception, with music by “Baci e Ceci,” will be held Thursday April 4, 6:30 – 8:30. An Artists’ Talk will be held Saturday April 13, 1:00 – 2:30, with Eric Evinczik, who is also showing recent paintings in the North Gallery.
BSA members awarded at WNY Artists Group Members Show
BSA member Rich Tomasello won second place for “Packed”, and Paul Rybarczyk won honorable mention for “Rob in Green Chair”, at the 16th Annual Juried Members Exhibition of the Western New York Artists Group at Art Dialogue Gallery. On view until April 13.
