This Mouse, a little guy, has a problem that he is afraid to share with anyone. He does not understand what it is or why he always feels sad, thinks bad thoughts, hardly ever has fun and sometimes feels like he’s crazy. And… he is “the only one in the world to ever feel this way”. Our soon to be good friend, This Mouse has OCD, short for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which a problem with chemicals in the brain. Many, many people are affected by OCD but most do not like to talk about it because it seems very silly. This first book of a series introduces you to our main character, This Mouse, his problem and ways to help him understand. Future books will include further OCD situations as well as books on manners, learning new things and friendship. Thank you for your interest and we hope you enjoy and learn from our books.

As a Landmark Docent, Deb Stewart has been providing tours at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, almost since we’ve opened the doors here. She truly is a consummate docent, knowledgeable, consistent and flexible, often assigned to the more challenging groups and always willing to jump-in in at the last moment. Deb is also an artist, an teaching artist, who willingly shares her expertise in sculpture and the craft of ceramics with adults and children alike as she regularly conducts a myriad of workshops here at The Center. For all of this, and more, we are pleased to present Deb Stewart with the Millicent Heller Award.
