Thursday, January 17th at 7 pm at the Amherst Community Church on Washington Hwy in Snyder. The featured artist of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society’s first meeting of the year is Sally Treanor, aquarelist and watercolor instructor from Buffalo and new member of the Buffalo Society of Artists. Treanor employs traditional watercolor techniques using no opaque white or black pigments. Her paintings are open-ended, developed directly from natural materials and artifacts, juxtaposing calligraphic strokes with sweeping washes and soft edges. Joan Turrell – Exhibitions
Joan Turrell has a show currently on display in the Youngstown Public Library, 240 Lockport St, Youngstown, NY, until April 29. She also has 4 pastel paintings in the Niagara Artists and Craftmen’s Association Gallery in the Market Street Art Center, 247 Market Street in Lockport, NY, and will be exhibiting in their show at the Kenan Center from February 20 through March 20, 2011.
