Gerald Mead is one of 8 national artists in ReUse/ReOrder at the Indianapolis Art Center until Apr. 19. He also showed in Dec. in “Spirituality” at El Museo Gallery, Buffalo, and in Jan. in “Visual AIDS: Postcards from the Edge” at Metro Pictures Gallery, NYC. In Nov. he was a panelist for a Visual Art Career Panel Discussion at UB and judged the Niagara Art & Cultural Center Annual Exhibition in Niagara Falls. Gerald also was one of 7 regional invited artists in “PRISM: One Community, Many Perspectives” at CEPA Gallery last month. He was a reviewer for the New York Foundation for the Arts’ Special Opportunity Stipend grants in March and served on the Cedar Arts Center’s Exhibitions Submissions Review Panel in Corning NY…
4 JI from the Mining the Archive Series, mixed media Gerald Mead’s mixed media collages with be included in two exhibitions at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center in Rochester, NY. Two of his works were selected for the juried exhibition Cut and Paste on view April 5 to May 10 with a reception on April 5 from 6 – 9 pm. He was also invited to be a celebrity artist for their “6x6x2019” exhibition on view June 1 to July 14 with an opening reception on June 1 from 4 to 10 pm. Gerald also recently judged the WNY Stem Hub’s Mission Patch Design Competition for a student designed patch that will travel on NASA’s Mission 13 to the International Space Station.
