Rich Tomasello won Best in Show at the 1st Annual Main Street Music and Art Festival in Niagara Falls NY on Saturday, June 25th. The jurors were Dorothy Fitzgerald and Gerald Mead.

John Gerovac is exhibiting with Frank Russo on Market St., Lockport, NY.

RH Stamps will be featuring some of his most recent works in a solo exhibition at the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center, 1201 Pine Avenue at Portage Road in Niagara Falls, NY . The exhibition opens on June 24, 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm. In addition to Mr. Stamps’ oil painting and photography, you will be entertained with original poetry written and performed by the artist. All are invited and everyone is welcome, the exhibition runs from June 24, 2011 to August 28, 2011.

Paul Rybarczyk’s painting “Seated Erick” was chosen as one of the daily “Nudes of the Month” for June in Barebrush’s monthly art calendar. It is featured on June 12 and is also one of the “curator’s choices.” The goal of Barebrush is to increase public awareness, acceptance and appreciation of the art of the nude. Barebrush conducts a monthly competition to create a calendar of painting, photography and sculpture all featuring the art of the nude. http://www.barebrush.com/

Kathleen McDonnell’s pastel painting, “Peace” was accepted for the Pastel Painters of Maine’s 12th International Juried Exhibition, “Pastels Only” to be held at Heartwood College of Art, Kennebunk, Maine from June 17 to July 16, 2011. The opening reception is June 17th from 5-7 PM. Kathleen was also selected to exhibit in the “Pastels by Invitation, A Significant Exhibition of Exceptional Artwork . The Exhibition will be held at the Creative Arts Center in Chatham, MA on August 1st to September 2nd. The opening reception is on Saturday, August 6th from 6-8 PM. www.pastelsbyinvitation.com

Robert Schulman has an upcoming show at Artsphere Studio. Opening June 10, Schulman will be showing along with Gene Cunningham, a stainless steel sculptor. The show is titled “STAINLESS STEEL-STEEL STAINED” Interesting new work!
