All BSA members are invited to the New Members’ Reception which will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the West Side Rowing Club at the foot of Porter Avenue in Buffalo from 4-7 PM. You will be able to meet old and new members as well as view the work of newly juried Exhibiting Members.

BSA Member Sally Treanor will be the featured artist-demonstrator at the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society’s January 21st. Meeting, at the Amherst Community Church, 77 Washington Highway, Snyder, NY. The meeting and demo begin at 7 pm and last til 9 pm. Visitors are invited to hear about watercolor classes and upcoming events, watch the demo, and enjoy refreshments with a group of enthusiastic fellow artists and art lovers. Meetings are free to NFWS Members. $5 visitor donation is sincerely appreciated. “Art Centers a Community” – Hometown Heritage. Exhibition Theme: Capturing a sense of community or hometown heritage reflects how art centers a community. How does your art reflect your community? It may be the community you currently reside in or the one you were raised it; hence hometown heritage. The Buffalo Society of Artists Gallery at Artpark will be open Tuesday-Friday, 1-4pm, May 31 through Labor Day. Forty-five exhibiting artists from the Buffalo Society of Artists have over 100 beautiful works of art in the gallery. The Gallery will also be open for selected weekend, mainstage and amphitheater events. On Sunday, June 12 from 12-2, there will be a reception for the artists and to announce the winner of the Edges II sculpture competition. The sculptures will be in the park all summer for viewing.
