The Buffalo Society of Artists Gallery at Artpark (450 S. Fourth St. in Lewiston) is now open daily Tuesdays through Fridays from 1pm-4pm. The Gallery will also be open before and during intermission of selected events and concerts during the summer season. Be sure to see the work of the society’s exhibiting artists, which will be on display until August 5, 2011. Some of our Exhibiting Members from the ‘northtowns,’ with work in the gallery are Paula Sciuk, Dennis Stierer, Joan Turrell, Lynda Juel and Jennifer Kursten. The Buffalo Society of Artists will sponsor its Annual Fall Membership Meeting and Dinner on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the The Buffalo Yacht Club, Foot of Porter Avenue in Buffalo NY. The Members Meeting will begin promptly at 5:30 PM (Note: There is no charge to attend the meeting), followed by a cash bar at 6:30 PM. Dinner will be at 7:00 PM. Music will be provided by Pro Bono. Entree choices are Chicken Piccata or Pasta Primavera . Dinner includes mixed field greens salad, twice baked potato, bread, coffee and tea, and berry parfait with ice cream for dessert. “The Art of Native Plants” Meibohm Fine Arts is preparing to host a juried exhibition to benefit the Western New York Land Conservancy. The exhibition will be held June 10 – July 29, 2017 at the East Aurora gallery. In addition to supporting the arts community in the region, Meibohm Fine Arts has a long commitment to the Land Conservancy, which permanently protects Western New York’s most cherished farmland, forests, wetlands and natural places. The exhibition “The Art of Native Plants” will focus on the importance of native plants in the ecosystem of our area. Artwork considered for this exhibition should depict native plants, their environs, or the wildlife they support throughout the seasons.
