Susan M. Ludwig Ferry was awarded “Best of Show” at the 57th Annual Fine Arts League of Buffalo Fall Members Exhibition. The show runs through Oct. 30th 2010 at Vern Stein Art Gallery 5747 Main St. Williamsville, NY 14221
Carol Townsend’s invitational two-person exhibition entitled “From the Diaries” closed September 6th at the Liptov Gallery of the Peter Michal Bohun Museum of Art, Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia. This exhibition space dates back to the 1450’s. Featured were works by Julia Sabova, head of the Departments of Textile and Fashion Design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, and by Carol who was the chair of the Design Department at Buffalo State at the time of the invitation. Carol presented nearly thirty collages and ceramic works. She was also asked to read several of her poems which were then translated and read in the Slovack language. Rose Popper created a sculpted chicken wire form of the body of Christ for the Lenten project, “Rebuilding the Body of Christ, 2023,” St. Joseph University Parish in Buffalo, NY.
Rose Popper was honored to receive the First Place Award for her limestone sculpture entitled “Lithe” at the Western New York Artists Group’s 27th Annual Juried Members Exhibition, Modern Works. The Juror, Jozef Bajus, is a prestigious artist and Professor at SUNY Buffalo State College.
