Nancy Mariani’s Sedona Blues was accepted into the 9th Annual Adirondack National Pastel Exhibition at the LARAC Mountain Gallery in Glens Falls NY. The exhibition will be on view from July 7th to August 9th. BSA Spring Exhibition Award Winners
The Buffalo Society of Artists is celebrating their 120th Anniversary this year. They announced awards at the Spring Exhibition opening reception on Friday, May 6th. First place was awarded to James Sedwick, Self Portrait with Amaryllis, Photography. Additional awards were given out to Catherine P. O’Neill, Watercolor; John Parascak, Photography; Anita Easter, Photography and Kathleen West-Hennahane, Printmaking. The exhibition was juried by Melissa Bennett, Curator of Contemporary Art, Art Gallery of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The show continues through May 27th at Western New York Artists Group, One Linwood Avenue. Kathleen McDonnell Painting in Kennebunk, Maine
Kathleen McDonnell’s pastel painting, “Peace” was accepted for the Pastel Painters of Maine’s 12th International Juried Exhibition, “Pastels Only” to be held at Heartwood College of Art, Kennebunk, Maine from June 17 to July 16, 2011. The opening reception is June 17th from 5-7 PM. Kathleen was also selected to exhibit in the “Pastels by Invitation, A Significant Exhibition of Exceptional Artwork .
