Celebrate BSA artist Michelle Marcotte and her food artistry while helping to raise funds for the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Museum!

This Sunday, December 5th from 11:00am -4:00pm Michelle Marcotte will be offering her food paintings, greeting cards and hand painted wine and champagne glasses for sale a reduced prices. There will a basket draw to raise funds for the Underground Railroad Museum, cooking demos and Motown music performed by singer-songwriter Marsha McWilson.

It all takes place at the Culinary Institute of Niagara Falls. No admission charge.

Gerald Mead will receive the Arts Services Initiative (ASI) of Western New York’s “Unsung Hero Award” at its second annual Spark Cultural Awards celebration on May 20 at the Hotel @ the Lafayette. http://www.asiwny.org/cultural-awards/ The award recognizes Mead for his contributions to the cultural community of Western New York for almost 30 years, including his 18-year tenure as a former curator at the Burchfield Penney Art Center. ASI promotes the cultural sector’s vital role in economic development and the community through capacity building, collaboration, and advocacy. The Spark Awards honor and celebrate “those who ignite arts and culture.”
