Image: Gerald Mead, Homage to Nancy Belfer, fiber and found objects, 13 x 8 x 8 inches. An homage to noted WNY fiber artist Nancy Belfer and Mead's former professor at SUNY Buffalo State combines fibers used by Belfer in her fabric assemblages and a slide transparency of one of her works from the 1990s from the Collection of Gerald Mead. Mead studied under at SUNY Buffalo State while completing an undergraduate degree in Textile Design. This piece is one of 25 works of fiber and fiber-related art on exhibit from April 12m - April 27, 2024 at the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
